To our valued customers and friends,

I really dislike when I get spam email and it says something like, "You are getting this because you opted-in to our mailing list", when I know darn well that I didn't add my email address to any such mailing list! We did a lot of thinking about how, exactly, to interpret the nuances of the CAN SPAM act when we put together our email mailing list. We felt that business customers, who were receiving either our electronic news magazine "Wireless Connectivity Update", or notices about upcoming Connect802 events would, potentially, benefit from the information we sent. We never send product solicitation email unless you have specifically requested it, you are a Connect802 customer, or you have a direct relationship with Connect802 (through, for example, your attendance at a Connect802 seminar or trade show event).

There are members of our mailing list who submitted their email addresses for inclusion, and others who are direct customers or vendors. If you are NOT one of these people then we believe that you are entitled to receive the email information under the terms of a transaction whereby your email address was made available in a purely business context. This may have been because you are a member of a professional or business organization, or you listed your email address publicly in a context where it appeared that you were willing to receive information related to your profession or business.
